The top fake Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean watches was launched 20 years ago in 2005. In the two decades since, we’ve seen multiple generations of Planet Ocean surface, the first generation in 2005 doubling the water-resistance of the Seamaster Diver 300M with a 600-metre depth rating, the second generation (2011 – 2016) premiering orange ceramic for the first time in watchmaking via a ceramic bezel insert in 2014, and the third generation, first launched in 2016, bringing Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibres into the mix.
But today, a new fourth generation makes a splash, and there are some, dare I say, pretty neat updates to run through. Let’s dive in.
The three variants
All of the new configurations debuting within the fourth generation range are offered in a 42mm size: the same diameter as the first generation Planet Ocean from 2005. They’re all in stainless steel cases, with an inner titanium ring and a solid screw-in titanium caseback, and each is outfitted with a ceramic bezel insert with a white enamel timing scale.

There are three different watch heads available: a black ceramic bezel variant, a blue ceramic bezel variant, and the signature orange ceramic variant with a new, more vivid orange hue. The dials are all matte black, and they all feature refined Arabic numerals that are more squared and openworked to better match the new casebody form.
The return of open-work numerals is also a nod to the original 2005 Planet Ocean. AAA replica Omega watches has kept the signature arrowhead hands and the bold applied indexes – all of which are filled with Super-LumiNova. Okay, let’s get to the good stuff. Actually, that sounds dismissive – the even better stuff.
A totally revamped, slimmer and sharper case body
Now, for many of you out there, I know the difference between a good sports watch and a great sports watch in your mind can come down to the case thickness. Well, Omega heard you, and for our first major update, the case thickness has been reduced from the 16.1mm of the standard third-generation models down to 13.79mm. For reference, that is less than a third of a millimetre thicker than the standard steel Seamaster Diver 300M, despite being twice as water-resistant with a depth rating of 600 metres. Nuts, but that’s not all. The lug-to-lug span of this new 4th generation of Planet Ocean watches comes in at just 47.5mm, which is 2.4mm more compact than the 49.9mm span of the steel Seamaster Diver 300M.

The new case body is made in two parts, with a steel main body and an inner titanium ring. You’ve probably noticed from our footage playing with the case that it’s now has much sharper, faceted, and defined lines. The mixed-finished case is not only slimmer, but flatter, with a flat sapphire crystal covering the dial beneath. But, you know what? Something is missing here, and my guess is you will not mind.
After being a defining feature for 20 years, there is no helium escape valve on the case – something previously limited to the Ultra Deep segment and beyond. So, depending on your preferences, that alone could be a major upgrade compared to previous 42mm cheap copy Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean watches designs.
New case means new straps…
With a new case body design, the next major update is a new bracelet and strap design that has been created to best suit the new case form. The new bracelet has a more integrated feel to its design, and it’s also slimmer to better match the newly thinner case. The three-piece links are rounded, yet flat and squared off to match the new lines of the case. And, as you move down the tapered links towards the clasp, you will see that this bracelet clasp offers plenty of micro-adjustment.

You not only have the push and slide system within the clasp that allows for a total of 9.7mm of extension across six positions, but also a diver’s extension within the bracelet offering an additional 23.6mm of adjustment – bringing the grand total of adjustment up to 33.3mm. Whether on your wrist or over your wetsuit, odds are you’re gonna find a perfect fit.
You also have redesigned bezel and dial-matching integrated rubber straps as an option, with a new raised and textured middle channel that mimics a continuation of the bracelet’s centre link piece. The rubber straps are secured to the wrist via a steel folding clasp. To be clear, though, neither the bracelet nor the rubber strap is truly integrated into the case, but it is flush and fitted with zero gap. The rubber strap comes with a steel link piece that the rubber integrates into.
What is the movement inside?
Now, the grade 5 titanium screw-in caseback may not allow for a view of the movement beneath it, but this pivot ultimately allows for the 4th gen Planet Ocean to have better proportions, and it plays a role in keeping the weight of the UK buy fake watches lower while keeping the strength and robustness of the watch higher.

The calibre inside is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912, which has been previously used in the Ultra Deep models. It’s a 60-hour automatic calibre that is resistant up to 15,00 Gauss and regulated to run within zero to plus five seconds per day. Personally, there is nothing I hate more than a watch that loses time, so I really love Omega’s METAS regulation standard. I’d take +5 seconds over -2 seconds any day of the week, if you catch my drift.
The verdict
So, there you have it: the new, fourth-generation Seamaster Planet Ocean. Stay tuned, because Russell will have more for you live from the ground at the launch event currently happening in Miami… But for now, my initial thoughts? I am very much on board with every single refinement, upgrade, or switch-up perfect Omega clone watches has brought to the table here. The case feels more futuristic and next-gen with its sharper lines, its proportions excellent with a 42mm case that is slimmer and more compact lug-to-lug.
I am certainly a sucker for the standard and irrefutably iconic Seamaster Diver 300M look… But I would be lying if I said the new 4th-gen Planet Ocean would not fit my wrist better.
